Stefan Caltia

Caltia, born in Brasov in 1942, was taught by the renowned artist and mentor Corneliu Baba at the Institute of Fine Art in Bucharest where he graduated in 1970. He practises in a fantasy-realist style with detailed technique in his paintings, drawings and etchings across a range of themes. Today, he is one of the most successful Romanian painters, in terms of sold artworks.
